Al-Umm Muslim Women Charity Organisation
Al-Umm Muslim Women Charity Organisation (AUMWC) is a Uganda-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering women, girls, and underserved communities through Islamic education, professional skills training, and comprehensive support services. Founded on principles of Islamic compassion and community solidarity, we work across 15+ districts to ensure women have access to quality education, economic opportunities, and pathways to independence and leadership.
The Challenge at Our Doorstep
Across many communities, families face growing challenges including poverty, limited access to education, and social vulnerability among women and children. Despite our focus not being on only Women, we know that they currently bare the heaviest burden of family , thus putting much emphasis on them. AUMWC responds through direct support programs, skills initiatives, and community outreach. By working closely with local leaders and households, we identify real needs and deliver practical, faith-guided solutions that restore hope and stability
